Referrals are welcomed on the understanding that Veterinary Fertility Services does not offer any services other than clinical reproductive work. Should the referring vet so wish, cases are sent back to them for ongoing management following assessment at VFS. Referrals should be discussed telephonically in advance. A referral note containing relevant clinical history sent with the client is also appreciated, and will ensure prompt feedback in the form of a fax or e-mail after completion of the case. For managing high-risk deliveries, please send the client for a prepartum examination approximately two days before the expected whelping date. Management of the whelping and arrangements for any intervention which may be necessary can be discussed at this consultation.
